Meetings focused on the care of patients with Turner Syndrome, organized by the outpatient clinic of the Institute of Childcare and Pediatrics Martagão Gesteira (IPPMG-UFRJ), will continue throughout 2026. Held every two months, these meetings bring together patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and students interested in the topic, establishing themselves as an important space for knowledge exchange and scientific updates.
The team responsible for the meetings includes PhD candidates Isla Paiva and Karinne Mafort, under the coordination of Professor Marilia Martins Guimarães. They lead discussions focusing on key clinical aspects, advances in care, and updated guidelines for the follow-up of patients with the syndrome.
In 2026, the meetings are scheduled for April 1, June 3, August 5, October 7, and December 2, maintaining the bimonthly frequency and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to improving care, supporting families, and training professionals in the field.
