Marilia Martins Guimarães holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1968), a Master's in Medicine (Endocrinology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1976), and a Ph.D. in Medicine (Endocrinology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1987). She is currently a collaborating professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a volunteer assistant professor at the Institute of Endocrinology of Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro, a full member of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics, a member of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Endocrinology, and a titled member of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has experience in Medicine, with an emphasis on Endocrinology, mainly focusing on the following topics: Turner syndrome, puberty, and growth.
